Cirque du Soleil’s 41st original production VOLTA will be presented under the Big Top next to Hard Rock Stadium beginning Dec. 15. International electronic group M83 will provide sounds during the performance, which uses themes of transformation and fulfilling one’s true potential.

Delray Beach New Year

Ring in the New Year at Old School Square during a family  friendly event on Dec. 31. Enjoy kid’s craft activities, a vintage game room, music and food trucks. Guests can also take part in ice skating, mini-golf and a carousel ride for a small fee. The evening will conclude with a fireworks finale.

Boynton Beach Boat Parade

Boynton Beach CRA’s 45th annual Boynton Beach Holiday Boat Parade will take place Dec. 8 when brightly decorated boats will line up at the Lantana Bridge and move south along the Intracoastal to Delray Beach. Live music will set the mood during the holiday showcase. Guests are asked to donate an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

Boca Raton Bowl

Conference USA and American Athletic Conference teams will hit the turf on Dec. 19 for the Boca Raton Bowl at FAU’s stadium, which will also air live on ESPN. Teams participating will be announced Dec. 3.

Billy Joel

Billy Joel will take to the stage on Dec. 31 for a performance at the BB&T Center. This marks the musician’s third time performing his New Year’s Eve set in South Florida.

Winterfest Boat Parade

The “Greatest Show on the H20” returns to Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 9. Watch as decorated watercrafts travel down the Intracoastal toward Pompano Beach for 12 miles of festive fun. Big & Rich’s Big Kenny and John Rich will serve as grand marshals for the 46th holiday parade.
