Q: How can I tell the difference in quality when purchasing outdoor furniture?
A: Great question. On the surface, furniture quality may not be apparent. Make sure to sit or recline to check comfort, look underneath for quality soldering and support, and inspect cushion seams, slings and surfaces for integrity. Also, check out our “Expert Tips” column on page D76 for more advice from Steve Lowsky, president of the distinguished outdoor furnishings manufacturer Pride Family Brands.
Inspect joints, sling fittings and finishes for consistency and quality as seen in this Chateau dining set by Pride Family Brands.
As always, I recommend hiring an interior designer to find the right solution for your personal lifestyle and taste.
