A Blast From The Past: Prezzo Reopens Its Doors In Boca Raton
Prezzo has experienced a rebirth. The successful Italian concept from the ‘90s, created by Burt Rapoport and Dennis Max, is back in business.
The official opening was held on Dec. 28, and the menu is crafted by Mark Militello, a James Beard award-winning chef.
Prezzo features a pizza oven situated in the center of the dining room, and guests can choose from a dozen crispy, thin-crust pizzas. Options include margherita pizza, classic marinara and creative specialities like the scampi, which features shrimp, scampi herb butter, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella and fresh chives.
The menu also features shared plates such as grilled prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella, tomato risotto croquettes and daily selections from the mozzarella bar—a menu of Italian meats, house-made spreads and locally-sources and internationally-made mozzarella cheeses.
Pasta lovers can indulge in penne alla norma with roasted eggplant, fresh tomato, ricotta salata and Calabrian chile, or shrimp scampi featuring linguine, roasted cherry tomatoes, garlic, lemon and parsley. Other fresh pastas include spaghetti pomodoro, ricotta and spinach gnocchi and ricotta and Swiss chard ravioli.
