8 Boca Raton Halloween Events For The Whole Family To Enjoy
Halloween is all about spooky activities, trick-or-treating, costume contests, and plenty of fall festivities—from picking out the perfect pumpkin to going on a hay ride.
This year in Boca (and other locations throughout southern Palm Beach County and even northern Broward), there are plenty of Halloween activities for everyone to enjoy.
Here are eight of them to have on your radar:
Where: Sugar Sand Park in Boca Raton
When: Oct. 16-17, Oct. 22-24
Sugar Sand's week of mischief, mayhem and mania leading up to Halloween is filled with spooky events, from haunted houses to carnival game nights, LED shows, train rides, magic shows, trick-or-treating and a scary film festival. The events are held on different days and times throughout the week, offering fun for everyone.
Where: Boca Raton Community Garden
When: Saturday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost: Free with the donation of non-perishable food items
This is a Halloween celebration for a good cause that encourages guests to bring in non-perishable food items in exchange for free entry. Items will be donated to Boca Helping Hands, which helps provide meals to families in the community. The event will offer fun for the whole family, with activities like seed painting, pumpkin sales, arts and crafts, and a photo booth. There will also be tasty treats to enjoy throughout the afternoon.
Where: YMCA of South Palm Beach County
When: Saturday, Oct. 24, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Cost: $5 (adult Y members), $15 (child Y members ages 2 and up), $5 (adult non-members), $20 (child non-members).
The Peter Blum family invites other families to join them in Halloween festivities, featuring plenty of sweets and trick-or-treating along with hay rides, a glow stick dance party, bounce houses, Thomas the Train, and a magician. Food trucks will also be present throughout the evening for delicious dinner treats.
Where: Delray Marketplace
When: Thursday, Oct. 29, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Fall wouldn't be the same without festivities such as scouting out the perfect pumpkin, riding a wagon overflowing with hay, and showing off crafting skills in art activities. Delray Marketplace is offering all of that and trick-or-treating throughout the evening.
Where: Boynton Beach Mall in Boynton Beach
When: Saturday, Oct. 31, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
There's no need to worry about the heat during this Halloween event presented by Christ Fellowship, which will be held inside the Sears Court. Families can enjoy trick-or-treating throughout the mall, games, bounce houses, sweet and salty treats including popcorn and cotton candy, and more fun for the whole family.
Where: Waterstone Resort & Marina in Boca Raton
When: Saturday Oct. 31, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Dress in your best costume for this Halloween night event at the Waterstone Resort & Marina, which will feature moonshine-themed cocktails and entertainment all throughout the spooky night. In addition to the eerie Halloween evening fun, prizes will be given to the attendees present wearing the best "water-" and "stone-" inspired costumes of the night.
Where: Pompano Citi Centre
When: Saturday, Oct. 31, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Bring the whole family to the Halloween event for children ages 10 and under. Kids should dress in their best costume for trick-or-treating at the centre's stores beginning at 6 p.m. The first 1,500 trick-or-treaters will receive candy bags. Before then, make sure to check out a performance by Anna the Witch and a Wizard Show that's fun for all ages. A carousel will also be on-site for $1 rides.
Where: Seagate Hotel & Spa in Delray Beach
When: Oct. 31
Cost: Cost of dining
The hotel's Atlantic Grille will be offering Halloween night live entertainment, decorations and dining prizes at the luxurious hotel. Limited seating is available for the evening, which will also host a costume contest for those at the event. Judging for costume winners by entertainment professionals will begin at 11 p.m. The top three costumes will be voted on by guests, and the costume that receives the loudest applause from the audience will be the night's winner.
