8 Fourth Of July Events Happening In Boca Raton And Delray Beach

America’s 242nd birthday is just around the corner and South Florida is prepared to celebrate. From beach parties to firework cruises, you won’t have a problem finding something to do. Throw on your best red, white and blue, light up the grill and raise the flag. Here are eight ways to celebrate the Fourth of July in Boca Raton and Delray Beach.

Fabulous Fourth of July

The City of Boca Raton is throwing its annual Fabulous Fourth of July party at deHoernle Park from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There will be live music, carnival rides, arts and crafts and endless food and drinks. Admission and parking is free, plus a complimentary shuttle bus to and from parking lots will be provided. Make sure to bring your own blankets and lawn chairs if you want a prime spot during the fireworks. Leave the pets, sparklers and alcohol at home, as they won’t be allowed in the park.

Delray Beach J4

If you’re looking for the real party, it’s at Delray Beach. The celebration kicks off at 5 p.m. with a flag raising ceremony. The rest of the night is filled with live music (including performances by Echosmith and the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors), arts and crafts and mini golf. Make sure to swing by early to catch the sand sculpting competition from 8 a.m. to noon. Parking will be a pain as there will be multiple road closures, but if you ride your bike to the event you’ll find a free bike valet. The patriotic party will end with fireworks on the beach at 9 p.m.

Delray Yacht Cruises are hosting a Fireworks Cruise that departs at 7 p.m. The cruise will whisk you around the canals while you munch on a barbecue dinner buffet that includes burgers, mac ‘n cheese, cornbread, sweet corn and salad, plus dessert. A full cash bar will be available and a DJ will be spinning beats all night. The cruise will head back to the docks after the fireworks grand finale. Make reservations here.

The crew will meet on the pier at Deerfield Beach at 7:45 a.m., and gloves and bags will be provided. While you don’t intend to leave anything behind after the fireworks shows, the beach will most likely be filled with litter from the celebrations.
