8 Spooky Halloween Events To Attend In Boca Raton, Delray Beach And Boynton Beach

Ghosts, goblins and ghouls are sneaking right around the corner to give you a good fright this spooky season.

If you’re looking for a way to party the night away or something for the whole family, these eight Halloween events in Boca Raton and Delray Beach will give you a ghoulishly fun time.

Shriek Week Family Friendly Halloween Event

Get ready to shriek and shout at the Shriek Week Halloween event at the Boca Raton Sugar Sand Park from Oct. 19 to 27, starting at 6 p.m. For two weekends families can enjoy indoor and outdoor haunted attractions, a variety of shows, games and tasty treats. Kids can also take a crack at the trick-or-treat trail, and get up close to some creepy crawlies at the interactive animal exhibit.

Barks & BBQ Halloween Edition

Grab your furry friends and their favorite doggy-sized costumes for the Barks and BBQ event in Boynton Beach, being held on Oct. 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Puppy parents can enjoy delicious barbecue courtesy of Pigsty BBQ, drink specials and music played by DJ Bumi Benjamin. There will also be special prizes for the best dressed dog in the Doggy Costume contest.

Super Heroes vs. Horror Villains Halloween Party

Whether you’re a comic book aficionado or a die-hard horror movie buff, now is your chance to dress up as your favorite character. Blue Martini of Boca is back for another year with its Super Heroes vs. Horror Villains party on Oct. 25 at 9 p.m. Guests can either don their spandex and capes, or go the scary route with their best interpretation of classic horror villains. Admission is free, but guests can also register in advance for VIP tickets, which include complimentary cocktails from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and discounted drinks until 2 a.m. Also make sure to dress to impress for a chance to win the $500 costume contest.

Planet SOS! Haunted House

Halloween is all about being spooky and scary during the month of October, but there’s nothing scarier than what’s happening to the planet. From the students at Space of Mind, the fifth annual education-themed haunted house, Planet SOS!, will feature an environmental disaster-themed haunted house. It is designed to help educate people about the repercussions of climate change, pollution and more. The public event will be held on Oct. 26 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Space of Mind in downtown Delray Beach. Guests can also enjoy delicious snacks, festive and frightful games, a corn maze and costume contests with prizes in two categories: Most Creatively Reused Materials and Best Planet-Saving Hero.

Delray Beach Halloween Festivities

Spend Halloween on Atlantic Avenue with Delray Beach’s annual Halloween festivities, fit for the whole family on Oct. 27. Starting at 11:30 a.m., kids and parents can walk up and down Atlantic Avenue for “Trick-or-Treat Along the Avenue” with the merchants from NW Fifth Avenue, all the way to the Intracoastal Bridge. After trick-or-treating, families can enjoy the 56th annual Halloween Parade starting by Veterans Park. After the parade, Delray Beach Tennis Center will have food, vendors, arts and crafts, entertainment and more to keep the party going.

Halloween at Boca YMCA

Get spooky this Halloween at the Annual Halloween at the Y event on Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m. Hosted at the Peter Blum Family YMCA, the space will transform into a Halloween venue filled with costumes, treats, games and more. Families and kids can enjoy haunted houses, trick-or-treating, magic shows and hayrides. Parents can purchase tickets in advance for $5 for adults and $15 for kids. Tickets will also be available for purchase the day of the event at the front desk at the Y.

Halloween at the Addison - "The Silver Scream"

Party the night away this Halloween at The Addison’s annual Halloween party on Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “The Silver Scream” and will pay homage to 1930s classic horror icons like Dracula, Frankenstein, the Werewolf of London and the Mummy. The party will feature a haunted walk-through and themed rooms, live music and entertainment, foodie fare catered by The Addison and specialty craft cocktails at the open bar. Proceeds from tickets will benefit the Slow Burn Theatre Company at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Enigma Haunt Attractions

Be sure to tiptoe slowly throughout the Enigma Haunt attractions because you never know what kind of fright is waiting for you, just right around the corner. Starting at $30 on select nights throughout the month of October, Enigma Haunt features three haunted attractions in one indoor location spanning across two floors in more than 19,000 square feet. Be The haunted attractions include “Cursed,” “Twisted Mayhem” and “Realms of Terror.”
