Avant Delray Set to Open Downtown in Late Summer

New York City’s art scene is coming to Delray Beach—in food form.

Avant is Downtown Delray’s newest restaurant, set to open in August, and is inspired by the guerrilla art movement of the early 1980s in NYC when a group of artists would adorn public areas of lower Manhattan with their artwork.

The restaurant is the result of a partnership between the NXT BIG THING and Society 8 Hospitality Group. Avant will feature a moderately priced, globally-inspired Italian menu consisting of small plates, large plates, shared plates and house-made desserts.

The menu will also feature culinary cocktails, craft beers and an expansive wine list.

Avant’s interior will focus on one-of-a-kind artistic elements by local artists, with a focus on the canopied patio and bar area, which will span the front of the courtyard in Pineapple Grove.
