Boca Raton Ranked As Best City In Florida To Start A Restaurant, So If You’ve Got A Good Idea…
Owning a restaurant in your hometown might be easier than you think—if you live in Boca Raton, anyway.
Finance website NerdWallet recently named Boca Raton among the best cities to start a restaurant. The Palm Beach County town took the top spot in Florida and ranked 27th nationally.
To come up with its results, NerdWallet analyzed 530 American cities for population growth and population density and took into account median income, income growth, restaurant sales per resident and the number of new eateries. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it found that suburbs and cities with a lot of population growth usually have the highest demand for new restaurants.
With Boca's median annual income growth at 11.8 percent and its sales in restaurants per resident beating out all but one of the 26 cities preceding it, there’s no question that area residents love their food.
Other South Florida cities that made the list were Tamarac at No. 34, Miami Beach at No. 48, Deerfield Beach at No. 58, Miami at No. 68, Homestead at No. 92 and Fort Lauderdale at No. 120.
The nation may know Boca superficially as a swanky place to vacation or retire, but as the locals know, it's a cultured urban paradise on the beach that’s perfect to call home.
