Food Truck Face Off In Delray Beach Will Put South Florida’s Best To The Ultimate Test
June 26, 2015 — Delray is about to get invaded by some of South Florida’s top food trucks—and they’re going to duke it out for the title of best in show.
At the inaugural Food Truck Face Off on Sept. 12, attendees will be able to taste from 13 food trucks and vote for their favorites; the top three vendors will win an award. Tickets go on sale Wednesday.
According to event founder Kasey Walden, this will be the first food truck event of its kind in Delray.
Admission includes a $10 food voucher, unlimited craft beer samples and live music by Girlfriend Material, an experimental interactive pop band from West Palm Beach. Tickets are $35 for adults or $5 for kids under 12, and all guests can enter a free raffle for prizes.
The Food Truck Face Off event will support the Give N Go Project, a nonprofit that donates soccer gear to children without families. A portion of each person’s entry fee will be donated to the organization.
Walden chose some of what she considers the best food trucks in South Florida to compete for the crown. The participating food trucks are:
- BC Tacos
- Dough Dough’s Donuts
- Bite Gastrotruck
- Curbside Gourmet
- DR Smokehouse
- It’s A Cubano B
- Munchie’s Snack Shack
- Parabas Grill
- P.S. 561
