Louie Bossi's Ristorante To Open In Boca Raton, Bringing House-Made Pastas, Pizzas And Salumi To Downtown

Boca Raton, are you ready for delicious housemade pastas and Neapolitan pizzas? 

After making a huge splash in the Fort Lauderdale food scene, Louie Bossi’s Ristorante, Bar & Pizzeria will be opening up a second location in downtown Boca, at the southeast corner of Federal Highway and Palmetto Park Road. 

The restaurant, which will be attached to the Hyatt Place once it's complete, will serve up authentic Italian dishes, including housemade pastas, wood-burning pizza, Sicilian comfort food, house-cured salumi and gelato. Drinks include handcrafted cocktails, craft beers, wines and housemade limoncello.

Expected to open by the end of the year, the restaurant is among the latest ventures for Big Time Restaurant Group, which operates other popular eateries like Rocco’s Tacos and City Oyster and Sushi Bar. 

"The decision to open Louie Bossi’s in Boca Raton was an easy one. We have operated restaurants in Boca for many years and know the market very well," Louie Bossi's co-owner Todd Herbst said. "We know that Boca is a great restaurant town. The people that live here are sophisticated, affluent and love to eat out! So, we thought let’s give them a great Italian restaurant to eat out at."

The new eatery will encompass 8,000 square feet of indoor space, while an outdoor patio will span 2,000 square feet. There will even be a bocce ball court so that guests can engage in a friendly match.

With the menu expected to be much like the one available at the Fort Lauderdale location, must-try dishes include the rigatoni alla bolognese (braised beef and veal in Barolo wine) and the spaghetti carbonara (house-cured pancetta, eggs, parmigiana reggiano).

Chef Louie Bossi, who grew up in an Italian household in New York, started with Big Time Restaurant Group as a grill cook after relocating to South Florida in 2000. He worked at several Big Time restaurants before becoming executive chef at Big City Tavern in Fort Lauderdale and, eventually, getting his own namesake eatery.
