Miami Heat Will Return To FAU For Training Camp To Prepare For The Upcoming Season
The Miami Heat is preparing for the upcoming basketball season, and Boca Raton’s Florida Atlantic University will host the team from Sept. 27 to Sept. 30 for training camp.
Although the camp will be closed to the public, the team is planning for a public scrimmage to be held at FAU on Sept. 30. Details of the scrimmage are expected to be announced at the end of this week.
The team previously held training camp at FAU in 2015, and has a strong tie of preseason work with Palm Beach County. Previous training camps have also been held at Palm Beach Atlantic University and Palm Beach Community College, now known as Palm Beach State College.
The Heat’s preseason opener will be held on Oct. 1 at AmericanAirlines Arena against the Atlanta Hawks. The regular season will begin on Oct. 18 at the Amway Center against the Orlando Magic.
