Riverwalk Burger Battle To Crown Fort Lauderdale’s Best Burger
The sixth annual Riverwalk Burger Battle will continue its beefy tradition Friday, May 8, at Huizenga Plaza in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Last year’s champion, American Social, will be competing alongside 15 other restaurants in hopes of taking home the title of Fort Lauderdale’s best burger.
The event will last from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. General admission tickets are $40 and include three drink tickets, unlimited burger tastings, unlimited access to the “French Fry bar” sponsored by the Downtowner, as well as voting chips, which participants will use to select their favorite burger.
VIP tickets are also available for $125 each and include craft beer tastings, a full open bar, specialty tables and seating, early access at 6:30 p.m., unlimited burger tastings, access to the “French Fry bar,” frozen desserts from Whole Foods Market Fort Lauderdale and specialty VIP burgers sponsored by The Tilted Kilt.
A team of restaurant industry professionals will decide the winner, but the voting chips will decide the fan favorite. Awards will also be given out for best burger joint, best bar and grill, and best knife-and-fork burger.
Participants can also hope to win an award by competing in the first-ever burger-eating contest sponsored by BurgerFi and Stevens & Goldwyn, P.A.
Pilgram Group, a real estate firm in Fort Lauderdale, will be presenting the event. Proceeds will support Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale’s mission of building a thriving community.
