Second Annual Taste Of Recovery Culinary Festival Will Benefit Crossroads Club
Dig into delicious food and drinks to help raise awareness about the addiction epidemic.
A benefit for Crossroads Club, Taste of Recovery will feature more than 15 restaurants, as well as live music on June 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Old School Square Pavilion.
Crossroads Club is a Delray Beach-based nonprofit that provides meeting spaces for 12-step programs, and has been doing so for 36 years. Over 900 people attend meetings at Crossroads every day.
One of those attendees is Louie Bossi. You know him as the executive chef and partner of Louie Bossi’s Ristorante Bar and Pizzeria. He is also the host of the Taste of Recovery event.
Taste of Recovery will feature savory bites from a variety of local restaurants and live entertainment by Dave Scott and Reckless Shots.
Featured restaurants will include Basque, City Oyster, Farmer’s Table, Fries to Caviar, Josie’s Ristorante, Louie Bossi’s, Max’s Harvest, MIA, Rebel House, Rocco’s Tacos, Season’s 52, Tucker Duke’s and Vero Water.
This year’s judges will be Palm Beach Post food and dining editor Liz Balmaseda, Sun-Sentinel dining critic Mike Mayo and Florida Weekly food writer Jan Norris. James Beard award winner and chef Mark Militello, the winner of last year’s Taste of Recovery, will also help judge the event.
The Crossroads Club provides meeting space for Alcholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Nicotine Anonymous, Eating Disorders Anonymous, Food Addicts Anonymous and Mayhem to Miracles for hoarders.
Tickets to the event are $40 and can be purchased at tasteofrecovery.eventbrite.com.
