TK2 Coding Bootcamp in East Boca Actively Recruits Women To Bridge The Gender Gap In Technology Fields

TechKnowledgy² Academy, a school dedicated to teaching coding, web development, programing and app development, recently opened in Boca Raton on Federal Highway in May.

Known as TK2 Coding Bootcamp, the school offers a 10-week course focusing on students coding and developing apps, particularly female students in hopes of bridging the gender gap in the high-paying technology industry.

This effort is led by TK2 Academy staffer Ashley Taylor, a web designer and marketer who has worked in large and small agencies as a copywriter, creative director, SEO specialist and web designer.

Courses are taught onsite at a brand new facility located in the Atrium Financial Center. All instructors have graduate degrees in computer science and mechanical engineering, and have served as university graduate teaching assistants, as well as coding instructors.

The academy teaches front-end web development, back-end web development, programming fundamentals and the basics of product development.

Former University of Miami and professional basketball player Donnavan Kirk serves as the president and co-owner of the school. TechKnowledgy² Academy’s founder, Neal Heller, is the former owner of the Boca News and current owner of other career-oriented schools.
