Publisher's Letter: Making A Difference In Our Community
Each and every year, our Charity Issue seems to be a favorite of mine, though I look forward to every issue of Boca Life Magazine’s relevant and engaging content. The Who’s Who In Charity & The Arts section (page 65) is a true reminder of all the good that our community does for many important organizations. Living in a society of wealth and privilege, nothing means more than paying it forward to those who truly benefit, and here you will find worthy causes close to your heart and mine.
Knowing what a bustling season is ahead for these charity events and galas, you won’t want to miss “A Formal Affair” (page 54), our stunning fashion editorial showcasing elegant gowns and jewels perfect for this season’s calendar of spectacular events, as displayed inside the 70-year-old The Colony Palm Beach. Get inspired and go shopping!
I never consider walking out of the door without a spritz or two of my favorite scent. Meet part-time Boca Raton resident, sensory branding expert and aromachologist Farah Abassi, who launched Aroma360, which is all about scent marketing. Ah, the sweet smell of success! (page 32)
When Beverly Raphael, CEO of RCC Associates, lost her husband, she gained a position in an industry that has few female leaders. Meet the powerhouse who brings beauty to our favorite dining and retail establishments, and keeps the legacy evolving in stunning detail. (page 30)
In keeping with doing our part for conservation, I have personally given up plastic straws, as have many restaurants and bars on our coast. Every measure helps! In “Ocean Allies” (page 42) discover eight companies from Broward to St. Lucie counties that are doing their parts in spreading conservation efforts and awareness through innovative products and initiatives. SaltWater Brewery in Delray Beach is the first Florida brewery to package its beer cans with eco six-pack rings. Cheers to that!
